Federal Reserve Lifts Interest Rates to 4 Percent

The Federal Open Market Committee voted unanimously on Wednesday to increase the federal funds rate by a quarter-percentage point, setting a new target range of 3.75 to 4 percent. Federal Reserve Lifts Interest Rates to 4 Percent

Despite global instability, the committee noted that domestic spending remains resilient, underpinned by robust capital investment and strong productivity growth. Officials emphasized that job gains are currently keeping pace with the expanding workforce, leaving the unemployment rate largely unchanged.
