These grants provide essential resources for career exploration programs that connect students with future employment opportunities.

"This investment gives us the ability to create real pathways into careers that lead to stability and self-sufficiency," said Roberto Gomez, Executive Director of Cornerstone Craftsman. Laura Runkle, President of Virginia American Water, emphasized that preparing the local workforce strengthens the broader community. The American Water Charitable Foundation, which has distributed over $25 million since 2012, funds these efforts through shareholder contributions, ensuring the grants have no impact on customer utility rates.
