The new AWSOM Whole Health Campus aims to address regional gaps in specialty care by creating a massive clinical hub. Construction has commenced on the Center for Advanced Specialty Care, a 709,000-square-foot facility slated for a 2029 opening. This initial phase focuses on cardiac services through a partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, alongside orthopedics, gastroenterology, and neurology.

Beyond the initial center, the project envisions a sprawling footprint exceeding 3 million square feet. Future developments include a dedicated oncology center and a hospital featuring over 250 beds and 40 operating rooms. By aligning with the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine and the Heartland Whole Health Institute, the campus seeks to combine clinical treatment with therapeutic landscapes and evidence-based design to prioritize long-term patient well-being. The facility will operate on a hub-and-spoke model, leveraging virtual care to extend specialized expertise to rural communities across the region.
