The announcement, filed in Hellerup, Denmark, follows disclosure requirements under section 30 of the Danish Capital Markets Act. TORM plc, a long-standing operator of refined oil product tankers founded in 1889, confirmed the change in its shareholder structure through a regulatory notification on September 18, 2026.

Headquartered in Denmark with listings on both the Nasdaq Copenhagen and New York exchanges, TORM maintains a global fleet focused on oil transport. This acquisition by Hafnia marks a notable shift in the ownership landscape for the firm, which continues to navigate a volatile shipping market influenced by geopolitical tensions and international trade regulations.
