Natural Diamond Council Rebrands to Ignite Global Demand

The Natural Diamond Council has rebranded as The Diamond Collective, launching a global strategy designed to reconnect natural diamonds with contemporary culture. Under the leadership of new CEO Amber Pepper, the organization aims to shift its focus from defensive industry representation to proactive, measurable commercial growth.

The strategic pivot follows a six-month consultation with retailers, producers, and consumers to address changing luxury buying habits. The Diamond Collective will prioritize three pillars: uniting industry voices, protecting consumer confidence through strict differentiation from synthetic stones, and inspiring desire through digital storytelling. To track the effectiveness of this transition, the organization is launching a Diamond Desire Index in the US, India, and China, which will measure purchase intent and shifting consumer sentiment.

Operational changes include the introduction of a universal Trustmark and increased investment in AI-driven digital discovery. While the Natural Diamond Council remains the legal entity, the new public-facing identity seeks to foster a broader participation model across the supply chain. CEO Amber Pepper emphasized that the organization’s future relies on transforming the narrative around the rarity and emotional significance of natural diamonds to ensure they remain relevant to a new generation of buyers.
