Rejuvenation Technologies, a spin-out from Stanford University research, utilizes modified mRNA delivered through proprietary lipid nanoparticles. CEO and co-inventor Dr. John Ramunas developed the platform to provide transient telomerase activation, which aims to reverse cellular aging markers in a single day. The company is currently advancing preclinical pipelines focused on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and severe chronic liver disease, bolstered by over $8 million in non-dilutive grants from the National Institutes of Health and the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
This deal complements Jetstream’s existing portfolio, which includes gene therapy firm Rejuvenate Bio and cell therapy developer Wonderlab Bio. Chris Yoo, Fund Manager at Jetstream, noted that the fund targets paradigm-shifting science to offer individual investors exposure to high-growth, disruptive medical technologies. Supported by institutional backers such as Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator, Rejuvenation Technologies positions the interval fund to capitalize on the growing sector of life extension and cellular repair.
