Regent Bank Targets Missouri Growth with Twin Market Expansion

Tulsa-based Regent Bank is planting roots in Kansas City and St. Louis, launching two new commercial lending offices to push its regional footprint into Missouri. These locations mark the bank’s tenth market entry, signaling a strategic shift to capture business lending demand across the state with a veteran local team.

The bank will initially operate these sites as loan production offices while finalizing plans for permanent branch facilities. The St. Louis hub is located at 17050 Baxter Road in Chesterfield, while the Kansas City operations are based at 6247 Brookside Blvd. Jason Ramthun, serving as market president for both cities, will spearhead the expansion alongside a commercial lending team featuring John Lamping, Chris Knopp, Tony Maher, and Zach Fischer.

CEO Sean Kouplen emphasized that the move relies on existing local relationships rather than a push for immediate scale. The bank, which manages over $2.2 billion in assets, aims to position itself as a nimble alternative for business owners requiring rapid decision-making. By leveraging the local expertise of Ramthun’s team, the institution intends to provide specialized commercial lending and treasury services to the Missouri market.
