Stellantis Sales Hold Steady Amidst Mixed Brand Performance

Stellantis reported total sales of 324,277 vehicles for the third quarter of 2026, keeping the company flat compared to the same period last year. Despite the stagnation in quarterly volume, the automaker maintains a 3% increase in total sales for the first nine months of the year against 2025 figures.

The company’s performance relied heavily on specific retail successes within its core lineup. Michael Orange, Head of U.S. Retail Sales and Network Performance, attributed the stability to a motivated dealer network that bolstered retail demand for key models. Notable growth included a 42% spike in Ram 1500 retail sales, an 18% increase for the Dodge Durango, and a 14% lift for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The Chrysler Pacifica also saw a 7% retail uptick, while the Jeep Cherokee Hybrid achieved its strongest monthly sales performance in September.

Individual brand results diverged significantly during the quarter. While the Ram brand surged 29% compared to Q3 2025, the Jeep brand faced a 20% decline, hampered by softer demand for the Compass and Grand Cherokee models. Dodge managed a marginal 2% gain, highlighted by the best Q3 performance for the Durango since 2005. Meanwhile, the company is pushing into new territory, introducing the Topolino to U.S. dealerships as its first entry into the local micromobility market.
