The new seven-year facility, priced at SOFR plus 175 basis points, replaces the company's existing U.S. Term Loan obligations. Under the terms of the agreement, Quaker Houghton will make quarterly amortization payments equal to 0.25% of the principal, with the remaining balance due upon maturity in 2033. JPMorgan Chase Bank served as the administrative agent for the transaction.
CEO Joseph Berquist noted that the refinancing provides greater financial flexibility, allowing the firm to prioritize strategic growth while reducing required annual debt payments. The company maintains a global footprint across more than 25 countries, serving specialized sectors ranging from automotive and aerospace to steel and mining. This move aims to solidify the company's long-term liquidity as it continues to navigate broader macroeconomic pressures.
