Sentra and Bold Security Partner to Bridge Data Context and Endpoint Control

Sentra and Bold Security have launched a strategic partnership to fuse AI-driven data intelligence with real-time endpoint enforcement. By integrating cloud-based data classification with local endpoint monitoring, the companies aim to provide security teams with the context required to govern sensitive information as it flows through AI assistants and applications.

Modern security architectures often suffer from a disconnect between data discovery tools in the cloud and activity monitoring on end-user devices. Sentra specializes in ephemeral scanning within enterprise cloud and SaaS environments to identify data sensitivity and access permissions at scale. Bold Security operates directly on the endpoint, utilizing local AI to interpret user intent and prevent unauthorized data exfiltration without the latency of cloud-based analysis.

This integration allows Bold’s enforcement engine to ingest Sentra’s metadata, including ownership, exposure levels, and business risk. When a user attempts to upload a document to an AI tool, the system no longer relies solely on static keyword matching. Instead, it evaluates the specific sensitivity of the file and the user’s authorization before deciding whether to block the action, coach the user, or redirect the workflow. This approach seeks to reduce false positives and streamline security operations for organizations struggling to balance rapid AI adoption with data protection requirements.
