Goddard School to Open Early Education Center in Tuxedo Reserve

Families in the Hudson Valley will gain a new childcare option in fall 2027, as The Goddard School prepares to open a 10,000-square-foot facility within The Village at Tuxedo Reserve. The center aims to serve 130 children, bridging the gap between early daycare and the local public school system.

The upcoming school will occupy a two-acre lot, featuring 11 classrooms and 5,000 square feet of dedicated play space. The site is designed to accommodate children aged six weeks to six years, offering full-day, year-round programming. Jason Cho, the franchise owner, stated that the project addresses a significant regional demand for high-quality early childhood education, emphasizing an inquiry-based curriculum known as Wonder of Learning. This approach centers on teacher-guided exploration to foster social and academic development.

Beyond providing education, the facility represents a strategic component of the broader development led by Related Companies. Greg Gushee, an executive vice president at the firm, noted that the school is intended to anchor the residential hub, which includes upcoming amenities like a seasonal ice-skating rink, retail spaces, and performance areas. The school will create approximately 20 staff positions and is positioned to feed into the nearby Tuxedo Union Free School District and private institutions, such as the Tuxedo Park School.
