Harris | Oakmark Targets U.S. Value with New Concentrated ETF

Chicago-based investment firm Harris | Oakmark is expanding its active ETF lineup with the launch of the Oakmark U.S. Concentrated ETF (OAKL). The new fund focuses on a high-conviction portfolio of 15 to 25 large-cap U.S. companies, applying the firm's signature bottom-up research to identify securities trading below their intrinsic value.

The fund is managed by Alex Fitch, who serves as Director of U.S. Research and Co-Chief Investment Officer, alongside Deputy Chairman Robert Bierig. By maintaining a narrow selection of holdings, the managers aim to capitalize on significant discrepancies between market price and fundamental worth. The strategy relies on patient, disciplined capital allocation, holding positions while the market corrects these valuation gaps over time.

This launch adds to a suite of active ETFs that includes the Morningstar Gold Medalist-rated Oakmark U.S. Large Cap ETF, as well as international and global counterparts. The firm emphasizes that these vehicles provide the transparency and intra-day liquidity typical of exchange-traded products while maintaining the rigorous, research-intensive approach that has defined the Oakmark brand for five decades. With roughly $106 billion in assets under management, the firm continues to prioritize active, value-driven strategies across its various investment vehicles, including mutual funds and separate accounts.
