The company’s display at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center emphasizes adaptability on the modern battlefield. A key feature is the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), which utilizes XTEND’s Physical AI system. By carrying a mobile launch pod, the vehicle allows operators to deploy aerial assets, such as the gesture-controlled Scorpio 1000, into high-risk or GPS-denied environments while remaining at a safe distance.
Simultaneously, the JLTV A2 platform demonstrates increased defensive utility. Equipped with the Samson 30mm Remote Weapon Station and the Iron Wasp autonomous drone interceptor, this vehicle addresses the growing threat of enemy loitering munitions. These enhancements build upon the A2’s existing improvements over the A1, which include a refined powertrain, superior corrosion resistance, and a quieter cabin environment.
AM General also introduced the first phase of its HUMVEE modernization program. The updated vehicle features a 250-horsepower Common Rail Direct Injection engine and a redesigned chassis optimized for rugged terrain. President and CEO John Chadbourne noted that these systems reflect a strategic move toward common architecture, intended to simplify logistics and increase mission flexibility across the company’s light tactical vehicle lineup. Full production for the initial phase of the HUMVEE upgrade is scheduled for late 2027.
