According to the company filing, revenue rose to ¥12.94 billion, up from ¥11.77 billion during the same period a year ago. However, this expansion was offset by a contraction in operational efficiency.
Financial Performance Metrics
The company’s operating profit fell to ¥1.60 billion for the quarter, compared to ¥2.01 billion in the previous year. This downward trend persisted across the balance sheet, with pretax profit sliding to ¥1.58 billion from ¥1.91 billion. The results, calculated under Japanese accounting standards, suggest that increased operational expenses weighed on the firm's ability to capitalize on its expanded revenue base.Net profit for the quarter settled at ¥1.08 billion, a decrease from the ¥1.35 billion recorded in the prior year. This resulted in basic earnings per share of ¥11.09, down from ¥13.78. Despite the quarterly dip in profitability, the company maintained its reporting structure as it navigates the competitive healthcare services market in Japan.
