The recall encompasses the entire Tractor Wheels line, a strategic move by Chief Executive John Foraker to address consumer safety after the company failed to isolate specific flavors or batches involved in the three reported incidents. These products represent 18% of the company's total net sales year-to-date, putting a sizable portion of revenue on hold indefinitely. The stock has now shed 55% of its value since the start of the year.
Despite the immediate financial hit, Foraker signaled confidence in the company's liquidity. Once Upon a Farm concluded the third quarter with $106.4 million in cash and zero debt. With an additional $95 million available through existing credit facilities, management intends to lean on these reserves to navigate the fallout from the recall.
