Analysts surveyed by FactSet anticipate AMD will report $13.10 billion in quarterly revenue, a significant jump from $9.25 billion during the same period last year. Net profit projections sit at $2.35 billion, nearly double the previous year's $1.24 billion. Despite these growth figures, the stock, which recently traded at $492.20, faces pressure from a broader tech selloff and mounting skepticism regarding hyperscaler spending on AI hardware.
Intel’s recent warning of sluggish PC demand has cast a shadow over AMD’s outlook. StoneX analysts have already trimmed their forecasts, citing higher memory prices and a decline in Windows-related revenue as catalysts for manufacturers to pull back on component orders. Conversely, the bull case rests on AMD’s data center momentum. With Meta and OpenAI beginning initial deployments of AMD hardware, Susquehanna analysts project the company’s data center GPU revenue could climb to $41 billion by 2027, potentially offsetting the weakness currently plaguing the consumer PC segment.
