The complaint, registered as Case No. CIVSB2611839, claims the hygiene and infection prevention firm consistently bypassed California Labor Code requirements. Plaintiffs argue that employees were frequently required to work shifts exceeding four hours without the legally mandated ten-minute rest periods. Under state law, such periods must leave workers entirely relieved of all duties and free from employer control.
Beyond break violations, the suit outlines a broad pattern of alleged payroll discrepancies. The firm contends Ecolab failed to provide accurate itemized wage statements, neglected to pay sick leave, and withheld minimum and overtime wages. Attorneys for the plaintiffs are seeking civil penalties for these practices, which allegedly breach multiple sections of the California Labor Code, including sections 201-203 and 2802. Affected employees are currently represented by the Los Angeles-based firm, which specializes in consumer and investor protection against corporate labor malpractice.
