Hyperscale Data Pivots to AI Infrastructure in $1 Billion Michigan Deal

Hyperscale Data is nearing a master services agreement that would shift its Michigan campus from Bitcoin mining toward high-density AI compute. The proposed deal, set to provide 20 megawatts of capacity, carries a projected value exceeding $1 billion over two decades, signaling a pivot toward more lucrative infrastructure services.

The company’s subsidiary, Alliance Cloud Services, expects to finalize the agreement in the coming weeks. Management plans to phase out Bitcoin mining operations at the site over several months to prioritize the higher-margin AI deployments. If executed, the initial 20-megawatt rollout will occur in two 90-day stages, with potential for further expansion.

Should the partnership grow to 52 megawatts by 2028, the company anticipates the total contract value could rise to approximately $2.5 billion. CEO Will Horne noted that the current engagement validates the strategic value of the Michigan location, which holds a total power potential of 300 megawatts. While the company views this as a scalable platform for future growth, executives cautioned that the expansion remains subject to regulatory approvals, financing, and engineering feasibility.
