The project represents a strategic pivot toward modernizing domestic supply chains for the Defense Department. According to the company, the facility is the product of two years of collaboration with federal officials to analyze future warfighter needs and procurement strategies. National Defense President Todd Anderson noted that the initiative grew out of participation in the Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium, aiming to replace traditional production models with a more agile, responsive system.

Construction is scheduled to commence immediately, with the finished plant expected to be fully operational by 2028. By integrating advanced automation, the company intends to increase both efficiency and output capacity for critical defense supplies.
