Univers Launches Intelligence Fabric for Industrial AI at VivaTech

Amid Europe’s push for industrial sovereignty, Univers debuted its Platform for Physical AI in Paris this week. The system integrates real-time operational data from energy and infrastructure sectors to transition enterprises from simple digital monitoring toward autonomous, self-optimizing physical environments that learn from every outcome.

The platform functions through a unified Intelligence Fabric, designed to bridge the gap between generative AI and mission-critical assets. By managing over 1,000 GW of energy capacity and connecting 400 million devices globally, Univers aims to move beyond standard information processing. Instead, the company focuses on Compounding Intelligence, where systems continuously refine their decision-making capabilities to improve productivity and resilience in industrial workflows.

Valerio Dilda, Senior Vice President for Europe at Univers, emphasized that the region's future economic standing depends on applying intelligence directly to physical systems rather than just software tasks. With dedicated Centers of Excellence for solar, wind, mobility, and resources, the company intends to provide the infrastructure necessary for enterprises to deploy agentic and autonomous AI. This rollout targets a shift in industrial strategy, helping firms extract greater value from existing assets while navigating the complexities of the modern energy transition.
