Sustainability Partners Joins Civic Marketplace to Streamline Infrastructure

State and local agencies can now bypass lengthy competitive solicitations for water infrastructure upgrades. Sustainability Partners has integrated its Infrastructure as a Service model into Civic Marketplace, allowing public entities to procure Advanced Metering Infrastructure through existing cooperative contracts like TXShare without upfront capital.

The partnership targets the primary obstacles facing municipal water departments: strained budgets and complex procurement cycles. By listing its services on the AI-driven Civic Marketplace, the Chandler-based company enables government buyers to deploy ultrasonic smart meters and leak detection analytics through a predictable, monthly service fee rather than traditional debt-financed capital projects.

Adam Cain, President of Sustainability Partners, noted that the model shifts the burden of lifecycle management and maintenance away from local agencies. This approach allows cities, such as Jal, New Mexico, to address specific efficiency challenges and low-flow readings by offloading installation, training, and long-term hardware support to the vendor. The agreement covers comprehensive end-to-end implementation, including ongoing system upgrades and disaster recovery, effectively treating essential utility hardware as a utility service.
