The 2026 event showcased a shift toward practical, high-stakes applications of spatial technology. Among the winners, Enovis’s ARVIS headset earned top marks in healthcare for its precision orthopedic surgical navigation, while Eterio Realities’ FabStation claimed the enterprise category by demonstrating a 75% error reduction in steel fabrication through augmented overlays. The consumer landscape saw Google Maps XR receive recognition for its immersive 3D mapping, and Specs Inc. took the headworn device category with their fifth-generation standalone AR glasses.

Sustainability and ethics also took center stage. YORD’s Cooper’s Clean Air Quest won for societal impact by visualizing pollution for public education, while PICO/ByteDance secured the most ethical product award for their SecureMR Privacy Vault. The event further highlighted the convergence of AI and XR, with the MetaNeural Immersive Simulation Platform winning for its ability to generate complex training scenarios through natural language, bypassing traditional coding requirements. These selections underscore a broader industry pivot toward tangible, data-driven utility in both industrial and social environments.
