State-owned CJSC AzerGold will spearhead the development of an Uzbek gold deposit, aiming to share its expertise in processing and marketing precious metals. This partnership aligns with Uzbekistan’s broader initiative to survey untapped deposits across the Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and Jizzakh regions, as well as critical mineral sites in Karakalpakstan.
Beyond gold, the conglomerate NEQSOL Holding has joined the initiative to modernize Uzbekistan's mining operations. By applying international standards like the JORC Code, the firm intends to boost the competitiveness of the sector through advanced technology. While specific financial terms remain undisclosed, the collaboration extends to banking and tourism, with plans to construct a resort and expo center near Lake Aydarkul, mirroring successful Azerbaijani tourism models.
