By ensuring the accuracy of this data, the partnership enables IDOT to transition from reactive maintenance to proactive, intelligence-driven infrastructure investment.

Quarterhill CEO Chuck Myers noted that the contract reflects the company's broader push to support data-informed transportation systems throughout North America. This expansion into Illinois builds on the company's existing relationship with the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and follows a series of similar project wins across Indiana, California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts during 2026. The agreement includes an option for annual extensions that could stretch the partnership for up to a decade as transportation demands across the region evolve.
