Claigan Sets Emergency Webinar for California and Oregon Packaging Rules

With the May 31, 2026, deadline for California’s SB 54 and Oregon’s SB 582 already passed, companies are staring down a final August 31 grace period. Claigan Environmental is hosting two emergency webinars on June 30 to help businesses navigate the strict reporting requirements before potential daily fines of up to $50,000 kick in.

The regulatory landscape for packaging in the United States has shifted rapidly, leaving many B2B entities scrambling to reconcile their data. Failure to meet the upcoming August deadline carries significant risks, ranging from public shaming on non-compliance lists in Oregon to a total sales ban for distributors operating within California. The session aims to strip away the complexity of these mandates, focusing on the specific metrics required for compliance and the consolidation of files across both state jurisdictions.

Participants will learn how to distinguish between detachable and associated packaging, a frequent point of confusion for manufacturers. The curriculum also covers the Individual Source Reduction (ISR) plan mandated by California and methods to leverage Life Cycle Assessments to minimize fee exposure. With two sessions scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 30, the hour-long events are designed to provide a tactical roadmap for firms currently facing critical data gaps.
