The collaboration will function under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi’s Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine (HELM) Cluster. By consolidating clinical infrastructure, academic research, and regulatory frameworks, the project seeks to accelerate the timeline from initial vaccine discovery to patient distribution. The initiative focuses on scaling local scientific talent while positioning the region as a central hub for next-generation immunization development.

Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the DoH, noted that the ecosystem is designed to allow innovators to build and test solutions that address public health challenges on a global scale. Sanofi, represented by Global Head of Business Development Laurie Gery and General Manager for the Greater Gulf Baptiste de Clarens, intends to leverage new models of discovery and mRNA science to modernize production. This agreement marks a significant expansion of Abu Dhabi’s life sciences strategy, which currently prioritizes genomics, gene editing, and AI-driven therapeutics.
