KBR Taps Industry Veterans to Lead Upcoming Mission Tech Spinoff

With a target date of January 4, 2027, for its corporate split, KBR has named the core executive team to spearhead its mission technology solutions business. The move marks a definitive step toward separating the contractor’s government-focused operations from its sustainable energy and emissions reduction arm.

KBR Taps Industry Veterans to Lead Upcoming Mission Tech Spinoff

Michael LaRouche will transition from his current role as CEO of Serco North America to lead the new mission technology firm. His appointment follows a thirty-year career spanning defense, space, and intelligence sectors, including tenures at Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and SAIC. He is scheduled to join the company on September 24.

Nicholas Veasey, formerly the finance chief at MAG Aerospace, will oversee the new entity’s financial operations starting July 1. His background includes previous stints at The Carlyle Group and Booz Allen Hamilton. This executive team will manage the independent company as it pivots to focus exclusively on military and government agency contracts, distinct from the parent company's ongoing mission in the energy transition market.
