Command Investigations Acquires CoventBridge Insurance Division

Command Investigations has acquired the insurance division of CoventBridge, a move that consolidates two of the nation's largest P&C investigative firms. The merger creates the largest insurance investigation organization in the United States, aiming to unify national scale with proprietary case management technology and deep field expertise.

The acquisition unites Command’s Lake Mary, Florida-based operations with CoventBridge’s Jacksonville-based insurance unit, which has served over 200 carriers and third-party administrators since 2016. By integrating CoventBridge’s in-house case management software with Command’s existing quality control unit, CommandX, the firm intends to provide a comprehensive investigative standard across the P&C industry. The deal also expands the company's footprint, adding international reach in the United Kingdom and other global markets to Command’s existing network of 900 investigators.

Seth Markham, CEO of Command Investigations, will lead the combined insurance division, while Doug Merriman remains CEO of CoventBridge Integrity Systems, which will continue to focus on government and healthcare-related investigative services. Although the acquired division will temporarily operate under the CoventBridge Insurance Investigations brand to ensure a smooth client transition, the business is slated to eventually rebrand fully under the Command name. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction, which is designed to address fragmentation within the claims investigation marketplace.
