Beaulieu Vineyard Unveils Restored Hospitality Center in Rutherford

After a two-year renovation of its historic stone cellars, Beaulieu Vineyard is set to open a new hospitality complex on July 13. The project marks a significant shift for the Rutherford estate, integrating culinary programming and immersive education into the legacy of one of Napa Valley’s founding wineries.

The transformation of the 1900-era estate balances the preservation of its 1880s stone structures with modern design interventions by Signum Architecture and BAMO. Visitors can now explore seven distinct tasting spaces, including the Georges de Latour Private Reserve Wine Library and the Maestro Lounge, designed for club members. The facility incorporates salvaged redwood and Douglas Fir from original winery tanks, while floor-to-ceiling glass installations open the interior to the surrounding Rutherford landscape.

Beyond the architecture, the winery is launching its first dedicated culinary program under Chef Sam McKenzie. The menu draws from archival records of the de Latour family, offering dishes designed to pair specifically with the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon. This hospitality expansion also emphasizes environmental stewardship; the project features a new solar array, an all-electric kitchen, and a circular construction process that recycled 99 percent of materials, aligning with the winery’s goal of achieving operational carbon neutrality by 2030.
