Hokko Chemical Profits Climb 20% on Strong Half-Year Performance

Hokko Chemical Industry reported a net profit of 3.38 billion yen for the six months ending May 31, marking a significant rise from the 2.80 billion yen recorded during the same period last year. The results, filed under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a broader upward trend in the company's financial health.

Hokko Chemical Profits Climb 20% on Strong Half-Year Performance

Revenue for the period reached 32.85 billion yen, up from 30.67 billion yen a year earlier. This expansion in top-line growth was mirrored by stronger operational efficiency, with operating profit climbing to 4.18 billion yen from 3.66 billion yen. Pretax profit also showed robust gains, rising to 4.66 billion yen compared to 3.96 billion yen in 2025.

Diluted earnings per share reached 131.10 yen, an improvement over the 106.18 yen reported in the previous year. These figures underscore a period of steady growth for the Tokyo-listed chemical firm as it continues to navigate shifting market demands in its domestic and international sectors.
