The company now projects earnings between $22.15 and $22.30 per share, marking a clear increase from its previous forecast of $21.80 to $22.05. Management also signaled that total revenue growth is tracking above the previously anticipated 8%, with organic revenue hitting the high end of its 5% to 6% guidance range.
Financial performance in the second quarter reflected this momentum as net income climbed to $1.17 billion, or $11.62 a share, up from $378 million in the same period last year. On an adjusted basis, earnings reached $5.38 a share, comfortably beating the $5.28 consensus estimate from FactSet. Revenue rose 9% to $2.11 billion, slightly exceeding Wall Street projections. Chief Executive Neil Hunn attributed the success to a flurry of new product launches that effectively expanded the company’s addressable market, while acquisitions accounted for 3% of the recorded growth.
