AEON Targets South Asian Market with bKash and Nagad Integrations

AEON has officially expanded its settlement layer into South Asia, integrating Bangladesh’s primary mobile financial services, bKash and Nagad. This move allows local consumers to transact at merchants using crypto assets, which the platform automatically converts to Bangladeshi Taka, bypassing the friction of traditional cross-border financial rails.

The integration taps into a massive digital ecosystem where mobile financial services have become the primary backbone of commerce. With over 230 million registered accounts in Bangladesh processing roughly $416 million in daily transactions, the move positions AEON to bridge the gap between global digital assets and local payment habits. Users can now execute payments via direct transfers or by connecting major Web3 interfaces, including Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Solana Pay.

Beyond retail, the company is positioning its infrastructure as the primary settlement layer for the emerging agentic economy. As autonomous AI agents begin to function as economic actors, they face significant hurdles in accessing traditional banking systems. AEON’s architecture allows these agents to interact with real-world merchants by leveraging unified settlement rails. By scaling these capabilities into Argentina, Zambia, and Bolivia alongside the South Asian expansion, the firm aims to provide the foundational financial connectivity required for autonomous systems to operate globally.
