By transitioning to a software-defined interconnection platform, ANA can now establish secure, on-demand links to major providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud without installing new physical hardware.

This infrastructure upgrade serves as a cornerstone for a broader efficiency drive, with the company aiming for a 30% reduction in total cost of ownership over the next five years. Jun Nakazato, manager of ANA's IT infrastructure team, noted that the move to network-as-a-service was essential to gain the flexibility required for rapid business expansion. Beyond operational efficiency, the new hub provides a stable foundation for real-time passenger communications, reservations, and emerging digital innovations.
