Historically, the 'give forever' model required the heavy infrastructure of a private foundation or bespoke manual arrangements for the ultra-wealthy. The new platform shifts this dynamic by offering donor-advised fund sponsors an automated, scalable product. It allows families to set specific investment portfolios—ranging from private equity to separately managed accounts—and predefined distribution rules that function indefinitely without ongoing manual oversight.
Beyond investment flexibility, the system addresses the primary barrier to entry for many sponsors: administrative burden. By automating compliance for excess business holdings and prudent spending, the software eliminates the need for labor-intensive tracking. Administrators can now rebalance entire portfolios in a single action, a departure from the manual fund-by-fund management that has long constrained these offerings. According to CEO Lucas Cherry, the product is the first in a series of strategic rollouts intended to provide family-office-level tools to a broader philanthropic market, effectively allowing sponsors to compete with private foundations while deepening long-term donor relationships.
