Veralto Secures SBTi Validation for Climate Emission Targets

The Science Based Targets initiative has officially validated the near-term greenhouse gas reduction goals set by Veralto Corporation. This approval confirms that the company’s climate strategy aligns with the 1.5°C global warming scenario, marking a shift in how the Waltham-based firm manages its operational and supply chain footprint.

Under the new framework, Veralto has committed to ensuring that 60% of its suppliers establish science-based targets by 2030. Furthermore, the company aims to cut Scope 3 emissions from the use of its sold products by 61% per USD of value added by 2033, using 2024 as the baseline year. These additions complement an existing goal to reduce combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 54.6% by 2033 against a 2023 baseline.

Jennifer L. Honeycutt, President and CEO of Veralto, stated that these objectives are designed to provide long-term value for customers while addressing environmental impact. Since 2023, the company has already achieved a 22% reduction in total Scope 1 and 2 emissions. This progress has been driven by a transition toward renewable energy, the electrification of service fleets, and the implementation of the Veralto Enterprise System to enhance energy efficiency across its global operations.
