Bolt intends to integrate these vehicles into its existing network, which currently spans over 850 cities. The company plans to oversee every stage of the lifecycle, from defining technical requirements and rider-experience parameters to managing the commercial operations and infrastructure necessary for a fleet of this scale. This effort marks a significant step toward Bolt’s broader objective of deploying 100,000 autonomous vehicles across its platform by 2035.
Lucid will drive the partnership through its newly minted Lucid Technologies unit, a division consolidating the company’s expertise in artificial intelligence, advanced driver-assistance systems, and digital infrastructure. While the companies have not disclosed financial specifics or a firm timeline for the rollout, the project involves close coordination with European regulators and regional technology partners to navigate the complexities of autonomous mobility deployment.
