TruGolf Links to Utilize Tokenized Securities for Franchise Financing

TruGolf Links is moving to address the perennial hurdle of franchisee capital by integrating blockchain-based financial instruments. Through its pending acquisition of Canadian technology firm Polymath, the golf simulator company plans to launch tokenized equipment leasing and fractional ownership opportunities to lower barriers for new operators.

The proposed initiatives, slated for deployment by the first quarter of 2026, aim to create a direct bridge between investors and franchise development. Dr. Ben Litalien, Chief Development Officer at TruGolf Links, noted that the company intends to fund equipment leasing programs via tokenized offerings on the Polymath platform. Beyond equipment, the firms are exploring mechanisms for fractional franchise ownership, a move designed to make regional development more accessible to a broader pool of candidates.

Matt Andelman, Head of Business Development at Polymath, views the collaboration as a strategic effort to streamline market expansion. The success of these financial products remains contingent upon the finalization of the Polymath acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of 2026. If completed, the merger will establish a regulated, blockchain-based infrastructure for managing digital securities, marking a shift in how TruGolf manages its capital assets and franchise growth.
