To drive these initiatives, the group utilizes the General Framework for the Eco-design of Digital Services to minimize energy consumption and extend the lifecycle of hardware. Technical efforts are further supported by two open-source tools, Sustain4AI and G4IT, which allow for the measurement of environmental impacts across AI models and entire information systems. By the end of 2025, the company reported that over 10,000 staff members had undergone training in eco-design principles, reinforcing its commitment to frugal AI standards currently under development by CEN-CENELEC.
